
Allison Fischbach is a bookmaker with over ten years’ experience in binding and repair. She has worked in the print shop at the Rose O’Neill Literary House at Washington College, the bindery of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, and the Decker Library at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
She earned her MLIS in Archives and Digital Curation from the University of Maryland and now works as Digital Repositories Manager at the Johns Hopkins Univeristy Sheridan Libraries.
Her art practice combines book arts and printmaking, with a focus on nature and science. She has worked in letterpress, lithography, monoprint/monotype, relief, and intaglio. She produces work under Bear Bones Books, an imprint for hand-bound journals, prints, and artist books.
She currently lives in Baltimore, Maryland.
